Tempered glass, fitted right the first time

amFilm tempered glass screen protectors

We cut, temper and polish glass for one job only: standing between a bright display and the day it has to survive. Every amFilm screen protector leaves our bench with an alignment tray, a dust sticker and a wipe, because the fit decides whether the glass is invisible or infuriating.

What every sheet of our glass carries

9H tempered glass

Chemically hardened to resist scratches from keys, coins and grit.

OneTouch alignment

Drop-in tray places the glass square without a held-over-screen moment.

99% clarity

Light transmission high enough that the original screen colour is unchanged.

2.5D rounded edge

Polished edge that sits flush and will not catch on a case lip.

Oleophobic coat

Fingerprints wipe off instead of settling into the surface.

Case friendly cut

Cutouts and margins drawn per model so cases still close.

iPhone screen protectors

Apple changes the front of the iPhone more often than the spec sheet suggests, so a sheet drawn for last year's body will sit a millimetre proud and peel at the corner. Everything on this shelf is cut per model. The modern sets ship in the OneTouch tray, which is the fastest way we know to put tempered glass on a phone without a dust speck under it.

Samsung Galaxy screen protectors

Galaxy flagships curve at the long edges, which is exactly where a badly drawn protector lifts. Our Galaxy glass is sized to stop just inside the curve so the adhesive meets a flat surface all the way round, and the fingerprint window is tuned so the under-display reader still reads through the sheet.

iPad and tablet screen protectors

A tablet lives flat on tables, which means crumbs, rings and the occasional set of keys. The larger the panel the more a protector has to behave during the install, so every sheet here is thicker at the rail than a phone sheet and comes with a wider squeegee. Matte versions give a pencil the bite that bare glass refuses to.

MacBook and laptop screen protectors

Laptop panels rarely get dropped, so the damage here is pressure marks from the keyboard and glare from the office ceiling. These sheets are thinner than a phone protector so the lid still closes without touching, and the matte and privacy versions are the two most people actually want.

Nintendo Switch screen protectors

The Switch is the device this brand is best known for, and the reason is the dock. Every undock drags the screen past a plastic rail, which is how a handheld collects fine scratches without ever being dropped. A sheet of tempered glass turns that rail into a non-event. Our Switch sets have shipped in pairs since the first generation.

Steam Deck and handheld screen protectors

Handhelds are held for hours, so they end up greasier than a phone and get wiped more often. The oleophobic layer matters here more than anywhere else on the site. Our matte handheld glass is the one to pick if you play near a window — it kills the ceiling reflection that otherwise sits in the middle of the display.

Google Pixel screen protectors

Pixel phones put the fingerprint reader under the display, and a thick or badly coupled protector is the quickest way to make it unreliable. The glass on this shelf is tuned for that sensor, and each set ships with a spare so the first attempt does not have to be perfect.

Motorola and Lenovo screen protectors

These are the devices most often bought to be used hard rather than admired, which makes a sacrificial layer an easy decision. The cuts here follow the same rules as the flagship shelves — flat landing zone, case-safe margin, camera cutout drawn from the body rather than a published dimension.

Privacy and matte tempered glass

Two finishes change what the panel does rather than how well it survives. A privacy sheet narrows the viewing cone, so a passenger in the next seat sees a dark rectangle while the screen stays normal straight on. A matte sheet scatters overhead light, which takes the mirror out of a train window and softens the gloss under office strips. Both are the same 9H tempered glass underneath, cut to the model named.

Why we build in tempered glass

A display is the one part of a device that cannot be replaced cheaply, so protection has to start at the surface. We build in tempered glass rather than soft film because tempered glass takes an impact the way a windscreen does — it absorbs the hit, spiders, and lifts off, leaving the original screen underneath untouched. Soft film stretches and transmits the same force straight through. Our glass screen protectors are chemically hardened to 9H, which puts them beyond keys, coins, zips and grit, the four things that actually put scratches on a phone in a normal year. A sheet of amFilm tempered glass is 0.33 mm thick with a 2.5D rounded edge, so the device still feels like the device.

Clarity that keeps the original panel honest

The second job of a screen protector is to disappear. We hold light transmission above 99 percent so the original colour of the panel reaches your eye unchanged, and we finish every tempered glass screen with an oleophobic coat that keeps fingerprints loose instead of baked on. On a matte sheet we trade a little of that clarity for a diffused surface that kills glare outdoors, and on a privacy sheet we narrow the viewing cone to about 30 degrees. Whichever finish you pick, touch response stays native — no lag, no dead corners, no halo around the fingerprint reader.

Fitting is the part most people get wrong

Most failed installs are dust, not skill. That is why the OneTouch tray exists: you drop the device into the frame, press once, and the glass lands square without ever being held over the screen. For models without a tray we ship guide stickers, two wipes and a dust absorber so the surface is genuinely clean before the adhesive touches it. Bubbles that remain after a correct install are almost always trapped air at the edge, and they walk themselves out within a day under light pressure.

Choosing between our ranges

Pick by device first and by finish second. Our clear range suits anybody who wants the panel to look stock. Matte suits readers, outdoor workers and anyone who hates smudges. Privacy suits commuters and open-plan desks. Camera lens glass is sold alongside most phone sets because the rear lens picks up more damage than the front on a device that lives in a pocket with keys. Packs of two and three exist for a reason — a second sheet turns a cracked protector from a problem into an evening.

Why people come back to us

Fit drawn per model

Every cut line comes from the device itself, not a size chart.

Packed in multiples

Spare sheets in the box so a crack costs an evening, not a week.

Tools in every set

Wipes, dust absorbers and guide stickers are standard, not extras.

Tested to break right

Our glass is meant to shatter into a held sheet, never into loose shards.

What people tell us after the glass is on

Best screen privacy protector I've ever had. Bought it in January of '25. Offers great privacy. As for as the protection, I dropped my phone on the curb. It left a dent/scratch on the screen. Removed the protector and no damage to my screen at all. Since you get 2 protectors I put on the other one.

This is a really good screen protector. I spent a lot of money upgrading from the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra so I wanted to make sure I had a way to protect the huge camera lens on the back of the phone. I am still not sure it is impacting the quality of my pictures though. I am still testing it out.

Bella Jones · ★★★★☆

The video made it easy to put on, quite a simple procedure. Normally with these close fitting things I end up with bubbles everywhere, but this worked first time, and comes with extra's if I ever get it scratched. I can not use my iPhone X "naked", without it sliding off everything it touches.

I have bought these a few times. This product is so easy to put on and the instructions are easy. These lasted me a long time before I had to replace, they fit perfect for my phone, no issues with touch screen and they are nice and clear when put on phone. A must if you have this phone model.

Purchased for my husband’s mobile phone. It keeps the screen free of finger prints & smudges. It was super easy to install by simple directions. Removed bubbles quickly. Looks like it part of the phone. Love that covers for the small back windows were included. Highly recommend this product.

Questions we get asked most

Is tempered glass better than a plastic screen protector?

For almost every device, yes. Tempered glass is rigid, so it spreads the force of an impact across its whole surface and then gives way on purpose. Plastic film is flexible and simply passes the energy to the original screen. Glass also feels like glass under a finger, which film never does.

What are the disadvantages of tempered glass screen protectors?

They are thicker than film, they can lift at the corner on a curved display if the fit is wrong, and a hard enough hit will crack the protector even when the device survives. That last one is the point rather than a fault — the sheet takes the damage so the panel does not.

How is tempered glass different from the glass already on my phone?

The panel glass on a modern phone is a hardened aluminosilicate designed for stiffness across a large area. Our tempered glass screen is a thin sacrificial layer tuned to absorb a point impact and shatter safely. They do different jobs, and one does not replace the other.

Which finish should I choose?

Clear if you want the display to look untouched, matte if glare and fingerprints bother you more than absolute sharpness, privacy if people read over your shoulder. All three are the same 9H tempered glass underneath.

How long does a screen protector last?

A clear sheet that is never dropped will outlive the device. In practice most people replace one inside a year, usually after a single bad landing. Micro scratches that catch the light are the normal cue.

Can I reuse a protector after taking it off?

Rarely. The adhesive layer picks up dust the moment it is lifted, and a re-laid sheet almost always traps bubbles. Fit the spare instead — that is what it is there for.
